Twerk Dance Lab

Saturday, September 20th, 2:45pm-4:15pm

with Aries

Join us for a liberating Twerk Dance Lab with Aries at the Impulse studio on Saturday, September 20th, 2:45pm-4:15pm! Aries’ class is all about booty shaking, and trust us, it’s a full-on leg day disguised as a party. This workshop is for all levels and is a great way to learn the history, technique, and artistry of Twerk in a fun and welcoming environment. Come move, sweat, and celebrate your body in a safe and celebratory space.

Aries will start with an overview of the history, culture, and influence of Twerk: its origins, evolution, and impact on music and dance today. From there, we’ll dive into Twerk foundations and technique, focusing on body alignment and muscle engagement to ensure safe and effective movement. We’ll learn a variety of Twerk moves and combinations, from the basics of popping, shaking, and bouncing to dynamic, crowd-pleasing moves. Whether you’re a Twerk veteran or someone who wants to learn how to make that booty move, there’s something here for you. We’ll finish by putting everything together in a high-energy Twerk dance routine that you can take with you to the dance floor!

Tennis shoes, shorts/loose pants, and kneepads are highly encouraged.

Ari, AKA Aries, is a professional nerd, part-time chaos gremlin, and full-time rump shaker. Twerking for longer than she can remember, Ari began her teaching journey in 2023. Gaining instructor certifications from Vertical Joes, Rockstar Pole Fitness, and X Pole (L1 & L2), she brings a wealth of expertise in Twerk foundations and technique to her classes. She has taught Twerk at studios such as Sankalpa Pole Fitness and Ass Class at Pole Den, in addition to performing in showcases around Denver.

As a pole and Twerk instructor, this H-town hottie’s classes fully embody her uninhibited mentality. She encourages all who attend to shed their inhibitions and embrace the joy of life through movement. Dubbed “Thee A$$ Shaking Aries,” Ari loves to transport her students to fun and open environments where they can embody whatever dance means to them.
