Joy Prendergast
Ballet Instructor
Joy Prendergast began her dance training in Colorado. She attended the University of Utah as a Ballet major, and continued her training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan. She has worked and performed for Bay Area companies and choreographers such as Alex Ketly, Malinda LaVelle, Allyce Finnwall Dance Theater, Katie Faulkner, Amelia Rudolph, Robert Moses, Dandelion Dance Theater, and Woodminster Theater. Joy has performed in San Francisco, New York, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem. Her choreography has been presented both in the USA and abroad.
In 2018, Joy completed her bachelor’s degree in Dance, with an emphasis in composition, from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Joy currently teaches at Colorado State University, Canyon Concert Ballet, and Impulse Dance.
